Metal Magazine Cover

For my Metal magazine front cover i have chosen to add images and colours that go with the metal music genre. The  colour scheme of my front cover is red and white the red shows fierceness and attitude and white shows the calmer side.I chose to name my front cover ‘Rockstar’ the title of the magazine links in with the image that’s on the cover as  rockstars are stereotypically know to have guitars which the woman is also holding in the picture.The image seems quite gloomy and gothic like it’s representhing it’s music genre very well.At the top of the front cover i chose to add another guitar with skulls hanging around it again this is a stereotypical symbol of Metal music and when the audience see this they will automatically know the genre of the music magazine .On the front cover I have also added what will be featuring inside of the magazine and have added the page numbers so  that the reader can find the information easily. The ‘Exclusive Interview’ heading is very eye catchy as it’s written in red this grabs the reader’s attention and lets the reader know that what they’re about to read is exclusive and unknown. This will make the reader want to read the inside of the magazine, as its limited information and not everyone knows about it. If I was to re-do this front cover again I would use a different font that is more appropriate for a metal music magazine.

R n B Magazine Cover

My R&B front cover consists of a stereotypical R&B woman on it showing a lot of flesh. The image on the cover is the first thing the audience are likely to be attracted to at as it’s very eye catchy and it’s representing it’s music genre very well as the main focus is on the picture. I named the front cover ‘Infatuation’ as it seems to me that the image will admired by many as this is a representation of a ‘perfect’ body on a woman.I also chose six other words that relate to the image on the front covergoing down all of these words are very much associated with app[earnace which is liely to be expected from an R&B magazine.Th woman on the front cover appears to look very confident and in control which is a very sterotpical sort of pose in a R&B Magazine.This front page is aimed at males and female readers.Male readers are likely to read this magazine as the would find the images on it attractive and would most probably read on.It is also aimed at female readers eventhough they may be very envious of her body and the attention she’s getting they still may want to read the amagzine as it might help them to get that type of look.The readers aged 16 onwards are most likely to readx this magazine as it’s focusing mostly on images and the younger generation are obsessed with lloks at this age.The colour scheme on thos front page is black white and pink again simple but very effective as if i added more brighter colors the front cover the main focous wouldn’t have been on the main image.On the side of the page i added ‘Ringing high on love and on charts’ this shows that just because this woman has a sucessfull career doesn’t mean she can’t have a love life also it shows her independence and the control she has over her life.If i was to make this front cover again i would have maybe added one more image o a background as it looks a bit too plain.

Indie Magazine Analysis

My front covers consist of a stereotypical looking indie boy. He has one of his hands in his pockets and one on his head this conveys confidence and shows that he cares about the way he looks this is usually expected from an Indie magazine. The boy on the front cover is also dressed in a very stereotypical manner he is wearing skinny jeans, blazer and has a scarf around his neck he also has messy hair which is also something that’s expected from someone that has interest in Indie music. The audience will easily be able to identify with the genre of this music magazine because of the image and title that has been used on the magazine and this will attract fans to the magazine. The front cover has three different subheadings which all give a very brief overview of what will be featured inside of the magazine; the subheadings show interest in appearance and the music. The subheadings are eye catchy yet sophisticated and classy. The main focus of this front cover is on the looks and Indie music. The  title of the magazine is ‘Fashion Indie’  this implies that ‘Indie’s’ appearance is different to all other types of looks it’s  ‘An independent style magazine’ this  links quite well in with the image that I used on the front cover and  it is likely to attract indie fans to the magazine. The title of my cover is aimed at Indie fans ‘Fashion Indie’ I chose this title as it goes well with the image on the front cover as  the image on the cover fouses alot on the boy appearance and i added ‘Indie’ at the end to let the readers know it’s about Indie music aswell as  fashion.
